Hi, I'm Jade!
Welcome to a little glimpse of our life. I'm Jade Dingman, the owner and heart behind Coastal Cardigans. If there's one thing you should know about me right away, it's that our home is a full, happy, wonderfully busy place — and animals have always been a huge part of that.
My husband and I are raising six children together, and there is truly never a dull moment. Between the kids, the dogs, and everything else that shares our little corner of Florida, life is loud, joyful, and exactly the way we like it.
Life on Our Homestead
We're blessed to live a homesteading life, and our property is home to far more than just Corgis. We've got a flock of chickens, a band of ducks, and a rotating cast of other fun pets that keep our days full and our children busy. There's something special about raising a family this way — our kids are growing up learning to care for animals, understanding where their food comes from, and finding out that hard work and a whole lot of love go hand in hand.

A Twenty-Year Love of Corgis
My love for Corgis goes back nearly twenty years. When my husband and I were newlyweds, we adopted our very first Corgi — a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Malachi — and that was it for us. We were smitten. It wasn't long before we welcomed two more Pembrokes, Kendra and Brady, and our home was full of Corgi.
Life eventually brought us to Florida, and over the past two years our family has grown to include three Cardigan Welsh Corgis: Dash, Sadie, and Willow. They're the reason Coastal Cardigans exists, and they've completely stolen our hearts with their loyalty, their intelligence, their splooting, and the funny way they reach for things with those short little legs.

Don't let the short legs fool you — Cardigans are surprisingly athletic and love hiking, camping, swimming, agility, and long walks with the family.
And Then There's Abby
No introduction to our family would be complete without Abby, our beautiful Black Lab. She's the gentle giant of the group and rounds out our pack perfectly. Abby adores her Corgi siblings and is endlessly patient with all of their herding, chasing, and general Corgi mischief — most of the time, anyway. Even the best big sister needs a break now and then!

Why We Do This
Coastal Cardigans is truly a family affair. Every animal on our homestead is cared for, loved, and treated as part of the family, and our Cardigans are no exception. As we build our program, our commitment will always be to health, temperament, and raising well-socialized puppies that will become cherished members of their forever families — just like ours are to us.
